Retirement Announcement

Kevin Davis, an original founder of Options Charter Schools, announces his retirement after ten years of service


One of the two original founders of the Options Charter Schools, Kevin Davis, announces his retirement as president with the Options Charter Schools effective immediately. Mr. Davis will continue to work with the schools in an advisory capacity through December, 2012.


The Options Charter Schools’ board accepted Kevin’s letter of retirement, appreciate his dedication to serve in an advisory capacity during the transition to new school leadership, and wish him well on his future endeavors. Mr. Davis is leaving Options Charter Schools in a great place; and the staff, parents, and students are sad to see him retire but wish him well.


Mike Gustin, principal of Options Charter School- Noblesville, will serve as the interim president. The board is making preparations to complete an extensive search for a permanent replacement.

Options Graduate Recognized for Suicide Prevention Efforts

2009 Options - Carmel graduate Carmen Diaz is featured by The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) September newsletter in the "Survivor Spotlight." Within a span of five years, Carmen tragically lost her father and uncle to suicide.  While in high school, Carmen began to channel her grief toward helping others who had lost loved ones to suicide.  Carmen was awarded a Senior Institute Scholarship during her senior year for her volunteer work at Brooke's Place for Grieving Young People providing assistance in service to young children grieving loss. Carmen is a Social Work and Counseling major in her junior year at Ball State University.
